Choosing Lahey

When Frank Lahey, MD, founded a group practice in 1923, his vision was unique: Every component of a patient's health care would be coordinated under one roof.

Today, Lahey Clinic still offers an exclusive patient experience. At Lahey Clinic Medical Center, North Shore, in Peabody, patients have access to preeminent physicians from more than 20 medical and surgical specialties. A team-based approach to patient care, state-of-the-art technology, and innovative research and education ensures Lahey Clinic patients receive the best quality health care possible. Lahey Clinic Medical Center, North Shore, features:

Ambulatory Surgery

A nurse answers a patient’s questions.

The Ambulatory Surgery Department encompasses five operating rooms where our clinicians provide surgical care for both scheduled cases and emergency situations. The operating rooms support multiple specialties including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Gastroenterology and Urology.

Cancer Services

A multidisciplinary approach is the foundation for cancer services at Lahey. Specialists in hematology, medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology regularly consult one another, review test results and collaborate on treatment plans.

Multiple areas of clinical expertise and research include gynecologic (ovarian, cervical, endometrial) and urologic (bladder, kidney, prostate, testicular) cancers.

At the onsite Breast Center, patients have access to comprehensive services that include the evaluation and management of breast problems, as well as surgery and reconstruction.

Cardiology

Lahey Clinic Medical Center, North Shore, offers a variety of cardiac services such as pharmacological, nuclear and echo stress tests; transesophageal echo (TEE); cardio versions; tilt table tests; pacemaker support; regular office consults; and beds for cardiac inpatients.
