Peggy Russo, tobacco treatment specialist (TTS), first joined Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in 1986, and has since worked in Transplant as an Administrative Assistant and in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine as a bronchoscopy technician.
Peggy attended The Center for Tobacco Treatment Research and Training at UMass Medical School in Worcester, MA in 2011. In addition to working full time in Pulmonary, she has dedicated her time to facilitating our Freedom from Smoking® groups since 2005. Helping people quit smoking and remain tobacco-free is her passion.
Peggy leads Lahey’s Freedom from Smoking Programs for patients, colleagues, and the community, as well as manages the many administrative tasks associated with running the tobacco treatment program.
In her free time, she loves to exercise and spend time with her family, including her four wonderful granddaughters.
