Research - Diagnostic Radiology Residency

As mandated by the ACGME, all residents are required to complete at least one research project during their radiology residency. Over the last few years, we have added more support mechanisms to further encourage residents to take an active role in research. All second years currently have 4 weeks of dedicated research time. In addition, residents, with the approval of supervising staff and the program director, are also able to apply for additional protected time should the need arise (upcoming presentations, submission deadlines, etc). Fourth years will also be encouraged to do research in their areas of concentration. In addition, the department will fully fund any registration fees or travel expenses incurred for the residents to present their research. Residents will also have at their disposal a Radiology Research fund that can be that can be used for financial expenses related to any departmental research.
