Volunteering Basics

  • Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one, four-hour shift per week for a period of at least six months.
  • Most volunteer placements are scheduled from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. There are some limited opportunities, however, during the evening hours.
  • Once a volunteer's availability has been determined, he or she should expect to have the same schedule from week to week.
