Becoming a Lahey Clinic Volunteer

The Application Process

All prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer application and come to Volunteer & Community Services, located on the fourth floor of Lahey Clinic Medical Center, for an interview. Following the initial interview, background and reference checks are performed before the candidate begins volunteering.

Orientation

All new volunteers are required to attend an orientation class and receive a tuberculosis test. Orientation is a three-hour program that includes a basic health screening, review of Lahey Clinic policies, summary of volunteer guidelines, and a Clinic tour. In addition, identification badges and uniforms are distributed during orientation.
