Symptoms of Vestibular Disorders


Symptoms that may indicate a balance disorder include:

  • Vertigo, which is the illusion of movement in external surroundings or the sensation of moving through space while remaining still
  • Lightheadedness
  • Dysequilibrium or imbalance
  • Spinning and motion sickness

These symptoms may or may not be accompanied by other manifestations of inner ear disorders such as hearing loss or tinnitus (ringing or roaring in the ears).
