Although a breast cancer diagnosis can be terrifying, it is a disease that is typically curable with early intervention. We offer the latest technologies, including digital mammography and minimally invasive biopsies; genetic counseling and testing services; and risk assessment. Our Breast Cancer Treatment Center is a special clinic where you and your family will partner with a health care team consisting of a breast surgeon, nurse practitioner, radiation oncologist, medical oncologist and social worker - all in one comprehensive visit. At this consultation, you will experience the individualized attention of each health care professional present and be afforded ample opportunity to ask all of your questions. At the end of the consultation, you will emerge with a clear understanding of what to expect, and a unified recommendation in terms of how to move forward with treatment.
Further review of your case will take place at our weekly multidisciplinary forum, where the combined expertise of various Lahey specialists including a radiologist and pathologist only further ensures that you will receive the most appropriate treatment plan for your particular case.
