Head and Neck Cancer

Overview

Solid tumors of the larynx (voice box), vocal chords, oral cavity, tongue, palate and floor of the mouth all fall under the general category of head and neck cancer. A comprehensive program utilizes the strengths of four surgical oncologists—including a plastic surgeon specializing in free-tissue transplants that preserve the form and function of the oral mechanism. The complete treatment team includes radiation and medical oncologists offering innovative treatment approaches, a speech therapist, and the Nutrition Support Service.
