Skin Cancer

Overview

Lahey dermatologists offer Mohs' surgery, a specialized procedure to improve cure rates and lessen the effects of surgery for basal cell and squamous cell skin cancers—the most commonly diagnosed cancers. Lahey dermatologists also treat malignant melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer. Other strengths of the department include expertise in diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous lymphomas and skin signs of internal cancers. Dermatologists, general surgeons, and plastic surgeons collaborate on the most difficult cases.
