Welcome to the Lahey Clinic Food & Nutrition Services Department. We are pleased to provide you with useful information about the nutrition services we provide in the hospital and in our clinics.
Lahey Clinic Food & Nutrition Services includes a staff of registered dietitians that work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide the best nutritional care in a supportive environment. Our mission is to provide evidence-based nutrition care for treatment of acute and chronic illnesses and to promote nutritional health for adults.
Inpatient dietitians provide nutrition support for patients who are unable to eat, assess nutritional status and implement strategies for improvement, and educate patients on medical nutrition therapy for various diseases and stages of illness.
Outpatient dietitians provide individual appointments, teach classes, and lead support groups to improve management of chronic diseases, particularly diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and cancer.
