Hemodialysis

Hemodialysis cleans the blood by passing it through a filter. This is performed in a dialysis center using a dialysis machine. The out-patient hemodialysis unit can accommodate up to eleven people at a time. Out patients receive hemodialysis treatments during one of the four daily treatment times. The treatments are scheduled 3 times a week and take approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete.
