What types of patients do endocrinologists see?
We treat patients with all types of endocrine disorders. These include diabetes; obesity; abnormalities of the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands; and mineral and bone disorders such as osteoporosis. We also see patients for kidney stone evaluations, menstrual problems and sexual-related disorders in conjunction with the Sexual Function Clinic at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, North Shore, in Peabody, Mass.
How old must a patient be to be treated by a Lahey endocrinologist?
We treat anyone over the age of 16.
