Appointment Coordination
Our nurse manager will work with you to evaluate your medical needs and arrange the most convenient schedule possible. Given that Lahey Clinic is an institution that draws clinicians from virtually every specialty into a single location, multiple appointments can be scheduled and coordinated with the ease of a single telephone call.
Call us at 011-781-744-8401 to make an appointment, or request an appointment online through our secure Online Appointment Request. You may also e-mail us to ask questions or seek cost estimates.
Financial Services
Our staff will work with you to provide an expense estimate before you come to Lahey. If you are working with an embassy or other payor and anticipate surgery or a hospital stay (admission), we can often determine comprehensive fixed costs for those services, including all physician and hospital costs.
At the time of appointment scheduling, we will request a credit card number. If you prefer to pay cash, we will assist you in arranging a wire transfer. These funds on your credit card number are held on deposit until the charges are incurred for your visit to Lahey Clinic.
Translator and Interpreter Services
Lahey Clinic provides translation services for international patients who are unfamiliar with the English language. For more information about these services, please call the International Medicine office (011-781-744-8401). Advance notice is recommended so we can best accommodate your request. To obtain more information, you may e-mail us or utilize the AT&T Language Line at 1-800-523-1786.
Travel Assistance & Hotel Accommodations
An independent travel agency based at Lahey Clinic provides patients from outside the United States with assistance regarding airline reservations and local hotel accommodations and transportation. For more information on their services, please call 781-273-8550 or e-mail the concierge representative directly.
Visa Assistance
Most people traveling to the Untied States for health care come using the same visa (B-2) as individuals traveling for pleasure. We will provide the necessary letters to the U.S. Embassy in your country to assist you in obtaining a visa for medical treatment. Only the American Embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over your place of permanent residence can approve a visa application. Please visit the U.S. State Department Web site for more information.
