Getting Started

If you are a new patient to Lahey Pediatrics, here are a few things we suggest you do.

  1. Notify your insurance plan. If you have HMO insurance, you need to notify your plan that Lahey is your primary facility, and specify your pediatrician.
  2. Transfer your medical records. Please ask in writing that your child's previous providers forward complete medical record to your new pediatrician.
  3. Choose a pediatrician. To ensure continuity of care, we ask that you designate one pediatrician to provide care for your child. Your pediatric provider will see your child for each well visit, and whenever possible, for illness visits as well. Should your pediatrician be unavailable, one of the other staff members will be glad to see your child.
