Initial Evaluations

  • Are conducted by all staff, and follow a comprehensive psychiatric interview format.
  • Once a diagnosis is made, patients are engaged in a collaborative treatment planning process which may include any one of several different modalities depending on the presenting picture. These include: psychopharmacological evaluation; individual psychotherapy; group psychotherapy; addictions counseling; marital or family therapy; and adjunctive treatments and groups available in the community.
  • Patients are given appointments with clinicians consistent with the treatment plan. These appointments are scheduled in a manner that is timely given their clinical status, e.g., medication evaluation frequently is done the same day if the clinical picture warrants it.
  • Patients are referred for a medical work-up if needed.
