Ongoing Therapeutic Intervention and Assessment

  • Treating clinicians communicate with the patient's primary care provider and other treaters to the extent that the patient and the law allow.
  • Patients are seen by clinicians as often as is necessary to assure quality treatment given their clinical presentation, with symptom reduction as the primary treatment goal.
  • Referrals for purposes of additional consultation are made within the department as necessary to augment care, e.g. medication evaluations, or a specialty consultation regarding treatment of an addiction component. These evaluations are made at the discretion of the treating clinician, in conjunction with their supervision regarding the case.
