How to Obtain Imaging Results

A radiologist, a physician who specializes in reading and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, analyzes the results of all examinations performed in the Department of Radiology. The radiologist will then provide the physician who ordered your examination with an interpretation of the findings. The use of computerized dictation systems and report storage results in the rapid transfer of this information to your physician, who will generally have the results of your examination on the same day that it is performed. Please note: You may only obtain the results of your examination(s) through the physician who ordered your study. The Department of Radiology does not provide results to patients directly.
