Dr. Pamela Cipriano, President of American Nurses Association, to Speak at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center’s Nurses Week


Lahey Hospital & Medical Center hosting free events for the public for Nurses Week 2015 


BURLINGTON, MA (April  22, 2015) – National Nurses Week, which runs each year from May 6 to May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday, is being celebrated this year at  Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, kicking off with a keynote presentation from American Nurses Association (ANA) President, Pamela Cipriano, PhD, RN.


Dr. Cipriano is the 35th president of the ANA, the nation’s largest nurses’ organization representing the interests of the nation’s 3.1 million registered nurses.  She is known nationally as a strong advocate for health care quality. Dr. Cipriano will be at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center to discuss the Institute of Medicine’s Future of Nursing Report. This year Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is hosting free events throughout the week that are open to the public.
