Lahey Hospital & Medical Center Appoints New Chief Nursing Officer

 Tracy Galvin, MSN, RN, to serve as new executive leader

BURLINGTON, MA (February 25, 2016) – Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) announced today that Tracy Galvin, MSN, RN, has been appointed Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Galvin, a Woburn resident, began her 28-year career with Lahey as a staff nurse, and has held numerous nurse management and associate chief nursing roles over the years, most recently serving as Associate Chief Nurse for Inpatient Services.
For the previous six months, Galvin has served as LHMC’s Interim CNO, a role in which she built positive momentum in the LHMC nursing community and solidified her role as a highly-effective executive leader.

Galvin received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Regis College in Weston, Mass. and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University in Boston. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Organization of Nurse Leaders, and the chair of the Lahey Health System Nurse Executive Council.
