Prostate cancer is a complicated and controversial topic, with high quality evidence available to both support and refute the benefits of screening and treatment. The most salient issue with prostate cancer is overtreatment, not PSA screening. Lahey Clinic has a robust, active surveillance program for appropriate low risk patients.

Lahey Clinic has been named one of the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals by Thomson Reuters, and the only such hospital recognized in the Boston-area. The Thomson Reuters study examined the performance of more than 1,000 hospitals by analyzing outcomes for patients with heart failure and heart attacks and for those who received coronary bypass surgery and percutaneous coronary interventions such as angioplasties.
