Job Description:	CHAIR OF RADIATION ONCOLOGY Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, MA Lahey Clinic Medical Center seeks an established leader to head the Department of Radiation Oncology, providing strategic guidance for growth in clinical activities, promoting the highest quality clinical care, and collaborating with other clinical leaders to enhance existing programs and initiatives. The Department will oversee clinical services, utilizing the new Varian Trilogy Platform for providing services in radiosurgery, image guided radiotherapy, single and multiple fraction stereotactic radiosurgery, brachytherapy and high dose radiation (HDR). The Department sees and treats approximately 1500 new patients and treats about 1000 patients a year at two sites Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, MA and Lahey Clinic Medical Center, North Shore, Peabody, MA. Our technology includes a full physics section, active radioactive seed and HDR program for brachytherapy, three linear accelerators with plans for 5, and HDR, CT and conventional simulators with plans for a CT simulator and Trilogy accelerator at our Peabody location. In addition to having clinical expertise in single and multiple fraction stereotactic radiosurgery, the ideal candidate should have a proven track record in department administration, clinical and business development, and mentoring staff, as well as demonstrated ability in fostering excellence in scholarship, research and research training. The candidate also must have a medical degree (MD/DO), certification by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology, and be eligible for full and unrestricted licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
