Lahey's Lahey's Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to accelerate pharmacy resident growth beyond entry-level professional competence in direct patient care and practice management. The program also aims to ensure that a resident is exposed to his or her particular areas of interest as much as possible.
Through the Residency Program, teaching skills are developed on-site and through opportunities at two local colleges of pharmacy, Northeastern University and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. In addition, a multidisciplinary collaborative research project is conducted and presented at the Eastern States Regional Residency Conference. Emphasis is on progressive development of clinical judgment and professional competence. With the resident's completion of the program in mind, an important goal is to help prepare for the next professional step.
