Cardiovascular Procedural Volumes

Research has shown that certain high-risk surgeries and treatments are more likely to result in successful outcomes when they performed by experienced doctors at hospitals with large numbers of these procedures. The Leapfrog Group, a hospital quality ranking organization, sets standards on safe volumes for a number of procedures, including certain cardiovascular procedures.
