Nutrition Support Service

David L. Burns, M.D., CNSP

The Nutrition Support Service is a multidisciplinary team of gastrolenterologists, surgeons, dieticians, nurses, and pharmacists. The goal is to provide patients with safe and appropriate parenteral or enteral nutritional support. Patients with gut failure, inflammatory bowel disease or short gut syndrome are evaluated and managed through acute or chronic tube feeds or parenteral nutrition. Management of home TPN on tube feeds is continued through local suppliers, visiting nurses and the Nutrition Support Service.
