The security team at Lahey Clinic is dedicated to keeping all patients, visitors and staff safe. Our team complies with all federal, state and city codes and regulations and follows best practices for routine events and crisis situations.

Onsite Monitoring and 24/7 Rapid Response

Lahey’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality care extends to your physical safety. We have a state-of-the-art, closed-circuit TV and radio-controlled security system and do regular monitoring and surveillance. You can find our security staff members in key areas throughout the hospital, including all entry and exit locations.

Members of the security team have the training to respond quickly to all calls for assistance and can provide rapid response to local police and fire departments when necessary.

Patient & Visitor Assistance Services

Security staff is available to help upon request. We help visitors with the following:

• Escort service: A car escort is available at all hours upon request.
• Flat tires: Portable air supply for flat tires is available only at our Burlington location. We cannot change flat tires.
• Jump-starts: We can perform jump starts to get your car started again.
• Lockouts: We can help you if you lock your keys in your car. We can also call a local automotive locksmith.
• Lost and found: There is a record book for tracking lost and found property. Contact the security office as soon as possible following a missing item or theft of an item belonging to a visitor or patient.
• Other assistance: Help finding provide information and assist in getting additional help from outside agencies, such as AAA or local gas stations and repair shops. We can also help patients or visitors in obtaining the cab or taxi service late at night.

In addition to security, we offer a wide range of other services to patients and visitors.
