Spiritual Care

Pastoral Care Department Services

Chaplaincy at Lahey Clinic is here to offer spiritual care and emotional support for patients, visitors and staff.

Provide confidential spiritual and emotional support to anyone who desires it, regardless of faith tradition, including:

  • Emotional or spiritual support as you cope with an illness
  • Emotional or spiritual support as you cope with life concerns beyond your illness
  • Help in making meaning of your illness
  • Help with end-of-life decisions
  • Help with other coping skills
  • Help with specific religious rituals, obtaining sacred texts and connecting with your religious community
  • Spiritual support while navigating emergency or critical conditions
  • Someone to talk to safely and confidentially
  • Support as you anticipate surgery, when you have received bad news or are grieving a loss

In addition to spiritual care, Lahey Clinic also offers mental and emotional health services.

Lahey Clinic Chapel

Our chapel at Lahey is a peaceful, quiet place open to patients, families, visitors and staff. It is accessible 24 hours a day and is located next to the auditorium off of the fourth-floor main lobby. Catholic Mass is celebrated daily (including weekends) at noon. Muslim Jummah is held on Fridays at 1:30 pm in the Alumni Auditorium to the right of the chapel. Everyone is welcome at the hospital chapel.
