Screening is done to find a problem and treat it early. Tests are given to people who do not have symptoms but who may be at high risk.

Screening Guidelines and Tests

There are no screening tests for MDS at this time. Regular blood tests may be done for people who are at high risk of MDS. This includes people with genetic risks.It also includes those who have had cancer treatment.
