Both new and current Lahey patients can schedule appointments with certain specialists without a referral from their doctor. (Please note that some services will require a referral. You can get in touch with our Referral Management Department for help navigating referrals by calling 781-744-5604.)

To make an appointment at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, call the Central Appointment Office at 781-744-8000. To make an appointment at Lahey Clinic, Peabody, call the Central Appointment Office at 978-538-4300. To make an appointment at Lahey’s community group practices, contact their individual community locations.

Current patients can also use their patient portal account to communicate with members of their care team and request to schedule an appointment. An appointment is not required for emergency or urgent care services.

Our cafeteria serves delicious and nutritious meals, and our gift shop makes finding the perfect present for your loved one simple. We also have a pharmacy, optical shop and hearing aid center that make it easier for you to purchase products you need.

We understand that being a patient or visiting a loved one in the hospital can be stressful. As part of our effort to make your stay more comfortable, you also have access to spiritual care and social support services. Our security team provides 24/7 security to help create a safe, protective care environment.

When You Leave

Before you are discharged, contact friends and family to make sure someone you trust can take you home. Your provider may recommend new routines and activities as part of your treatment, including taking medications, performing self-care and following a healthy diet.

If medications are part of your post-hospital treatment plan, you can take advantage of our pharmacy home delivery service to have your medications sent straight to your door. Senior patients may require additional support as part of their post-hospital discharge instructions.

Follow-Up Care

Even after you leave the hospital, your condition may require additional support from your care team, which may include at-home care or outpatient rehabilitation. Your care team will give you information on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. You can also take advantage of our home pharmacy delivery service to help support your ongoing treatment.
