We focus on conditions linked to hormones and metabolism. Our team treats:

• Diabetes: Diabetes is a condition where the body has trouble keeping blood sugar in a healthy range. This can happen when the body does not make enough insulin or cannot use it well. Our care team uses a team-based approach to support people with type 1, type 2, gestational, and less common forms of diabetes.
• Adrenal and pituitary gland conditions: Your adrenal and pituitary glands help regulate blood pressure, stress response, growth, and vision. When these glands are not working well, you may need testing, medicines, or surgery. 
• Osteoporosis: Bone strength declines when the body loses too much density. We diagnose and manage osteoporosis and connect you to experts in orthopedics when advanced care is needed.
• Sexual function and reproductive endocrinology conditions: Hormone changes can affect sexual health and menstrual cycles. Our reproductive endocrinology team helps identify causes and guide treatment.
• Thyroid conditions: Thyroid disease can cause weight changes, energy shifts or neck swelling. We diagnose thyroid disorders and, when needed, partner with cancer care services.

We also work closely with experts across Lahey to support weight management, metabolic weight loss and metabolic care.

Screening & Diagnosis

Your primary care provider often performs the first screening for hormone or metabolism concerns and may refer you to an endocrinologist for diagnostic testing or specialty care.

To help us understand your hormone levels, we also use advanced testing through our laboratory, which supports accurate diagnosis and ongoing monitoring.
