Our Level 1 Trauma Center in Burlington offers the highest level of care for traumatic injuries.
Orthopedic Trauma Care 24 Hours a Day
Our fellowship-trained trauma surgeons treat the full range of acute musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures of the upper extremity, lower extremity and pelvis. We are a regional referral center for complex trauma and revision fracture care around the clock, every day of the year.
What We Treat
Our trauma and advanced fracture care covers:
- Complex pelvic and acetabular injuries
- Evaluation and treatment of trauma ranging from single injury to multiple complex injuries that affect several bodily systems
- Periprosthetic fractures (following total hip or knee replacement)
- Routine and minimally invasive fracture care
- Reconstruction of complex fractures
- Reconstruction of knee dislocation and multiple ligament injured joints
- Treatment of complex geriatric fractures
- Treatment of fractures that haven’t healed correctly (malunion) or at all (non-union)
- Treatment of orthopedic infections

All of our on-call orthopedic surgeons are highly qualified to provide fracture care and treat orthopedic trauma. At Lahey, you also have access to a fellowship-trained orthopedic traumatologist who specializes in caring for multiple and complex injuries.
Our care doesn’t end with treatment. We provide the follow-up care you’ll need throughout your recovery — and beyond.
We begin your rehabilitation early so you can recover faster and and return to normal function. Our team also can provide referrals for other treatments and reconstructive surgery, when needed.
