Physiatrists treat sports and work injuries. We manage degenerative conditions like arthritis or lower back pain. We help reduce your pain and improve overall function.

About Our Physiatrists
Our physiatrists are specially trained, each having earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Like MDs, DOs are fully licensed physicians and surgeons who practice the full scope of medicine. MDs and DOs complete similar education and training.
Trained to treat the whole person, DOs receive extra training in the bones, joints and muscles. DOs combine conventional medicine and surgery with manual therapy called osteopathic manipulative medicine.
Lahey physiatrists are sub-specialty trained in pain medicine. Pain medicine physicians diagnose and treat many debilitating conditions.
