Division of Gynecology
The Division of Gynecology offers compassionate, comprehensive patient care, advanced education and training programs, and unique research opportunities.
Sexual health is an important part of overall well-being. Care focuses on physical, emotional and relational factors that can affect intimacy, comfort and quality of life. At Lahey Clinic, sexual health services are designed to be respectful, private and responsive.
Our Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health provides support for a wide range of concerns, including changes in desire, pain with intimacy, hormonal changes and challenges related to medical conditions or life transitions. Care may also address fertility issues or gender-related care.
Most sexual health issues involve more than one factor. Care may include medical evaluation and education to address physical symptoms. We may also refer you to a behavioral medicine specialist to address your emotional and relationship concerns.
This holistic approach helps ensure care plans reflect the whole person, not just a single symptom.
Providers work together across specialties to coordinate care when sexual health concerns are related to chronic illness, surgery, medications or life changes.
Your sexual health concerns are unique. Treatment plans are personalized based on symptoms, goals and overall health. Options may include medical therapies, lifestyle guidance, counseling or referrals to other specialists when appropriate.
Care is paced to your comfort level, with time to ask questions and understand next steps.
