Summer volunteering at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Burlington is an eight-week program for high school students who have completed at least 9th grade. Students are required to commit to at least six weeks of volunteering in addition to a mandatory orientation. Two four-hour shifts are necessary per week (Monday through Friday, no weekends). Shifts are mornings beginning at 8:30am or 9am and ending at 12:30pm or 1pm (respectively) or afternoons beginning at 12:30pm or 1pm and ending at 4:30pm or 5 pm (respectively). Shifts are scheduled based on our need and your availability over an eight-week period. After a mandatory orientation, accepted students must be available the first two weeks of the program and for at least six of the eight total program weeks.
