• Hematologic Cancers

Hematologists at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic leukemia, Hodgkin's, and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. Hematologists work in close collaboration with physicians, nurses and technicians from a number of other clinical departments, using state-of-the-art techniques to provide the best in patient care.

Our patients have the opportunity to participate in national clinical trials if they wish, and they also have access to unique, evidence-based clinical treatment pathways designed by Lahey hematologists.

A dedicated hematology/oncology pharmacy prepares our chemotherapy drugs. Nurses administering chemotherapy to our cancer patients are certified by the national Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and receive extensive specialized training.
