    Lahey Hospital & Medical Center's Liver Center provides state-of-the-art care for the diagnosis and management of the diverse array of liver conditions, ranging from the asymptomatic patient with abnormal liver function tests to pre-transplant evaluations and post-transplant immunosuppressive management. Novel therapies for the treatment of chronic hepatitis and liver failure, as well as the complications of cirrhosis and portal hypertension, are presented to patients via multicenter clinical research protocols.

    Local publisher Jones & Bartlett recruited gastroenterologists from Lahey Clinic to write a series of health education books for consumers as part of the publisher's "100 Questions & Answers" series.  The books offer practical information on a range of gastrointestinal topics and are available at local bookstores and through online booksellers.
