     Hearing Aid Center audiologist reviews a patient's evaluationAn audiologist is a health care professional with a masters or clinical doctorate (Au D.) in audiology.  An audiologist has been trained to evaluate hearing loss and related disorders, including balance (vestibular) disorders and tinnitus (ringing or roaring in the ears), and to counsel individuals who suffer from hearing impairments. An audiologist uses a variety of tests and procedures to assess hearing and balance function and to fit and dispense hearing aids and other assisting devices, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life for the hearing impaired.
