Ongoing Therapeutic Intervention and Assessment
Treating clinicians communicate with the patient's primary care provider and other treaters to the extent that the patient and the law allow.
Patients are seen by clinicians as often as is necessary to assure quality treatment given their clinical presentation, with symptom reduction as the primary treatment goal.
Referrals for purposes of additional consultation are made within the department as necessary to augment care, e.g. medication evaluations, or a specialty consultation regarding treatment of an addiction component. These evaluations are made at the discretion of the treating clinician, in conjunction with their supervision regarding the case.
