Grand rounds are Wednesday mornings and include Clinical Practice Reviews (CPRs), Journal Club, visiting speakers, and Outcome, Process and Peer review (OPPs) conferences. Residents are expected to be active participants in all of these conferences.

There are daily resident conferences every afternoon except Wednesday. These conferences include faculty lectures, resident presentations, board review questions, keywords, and oral board practice sessions based on the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Content Outline. 

Every Wednesday morning from 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM, a resident conference is held which includes short topic discussions and echo rounds. From 7:00 AM – 8:10 AM, the departmental conference is held, which includes grand rounds, clinical practice reviews (CPRs), journal club, visiting speakers and outcome process and peer review (OPPs) conferences. Residents are expected to actively participate in all of these conferences.

Every July these conferences cover introductory Anesthesiology topics. In addition, there are biweekly simulation sessions focusing on anesthesia skills and team-based training.
