Descriptions

General Surgery: Trauma, acute care surgery, elective, endocrine, bariatric, breast, oncology
Colon & Rectal Surgery: High-volume 7 surgeon group with 2 fellows
Vascular Surgery: Open and endovascular surgery, vascular access, fistula creation and revision
HBP & Transplant: Complex hepatobiliary and pancreas, organ procurement, liver and kidney transplantation, liver and kidney living donor transplantation
Night Float: Trauma, acute care surgery, colon & rectal, vascular, HBP & transplant surgery
Anesthesia: Dedicated time for learning intubation and line placement skills
Laparoscopic Training: Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS)
SICU: Critical care of general, colon & rectal, vascular, HBP & transplant, ENT, orthopedic, neurosurgery, urology, and gynecology patients
Breast Surgery: Dedicated month for breast clinic and breast surgery (inpatient and outpatient)
Pediatric Surgery: 2 month rotation at Children’s Hospital in Boston
Trauma Surgery: 2 month rotation at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland
Community Surgery: Complex general and specialty surgery at Beverly Hospital (a Lahey Hospital & Medical Center affiliate)
Elective: Opportunity to pursue a particular field, rotate at another institution, or perform research
