The junior volunteer program at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Burlington is a very structured summer program only.
Unfortunately, as of March 7, 2015, we are no longer accepting requests for applications for the Summer 2015 Junior Volunteer program as we have received over 100 requests to date. Please check this website early 2016, for updated information regarding next summer. Thank you.
Lahey’s Summer Junior Volunteer Program for high school students who have completed at least 9th grade. If accepted, students are required to volunteer from Monday, July 6th through Friday, August 28th and are allowed two weeks off over that period. Once accepted, students must be available the first and last week of the program (unless your school starts before Labor Day) as well as attend a mandatory orientation, Wednesday, June 24th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Two four-hour shifts are necessary per week – Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm are offered based on our needs and your availability.
Acceptance is determined after completion of application packet and an in-person interview.
