Lahey Health is now part of Beth Israel Lahey Health

In addition to conducting our own cancer clinical trials and research, the Lahey Health Cancer Institute (LHCI) also provides broad access to cancer clinical trials in the greater Boston area. This allows you to participate in the latest research without having to journey far from home.

Clinical trials at Lahey Health are regularly updated and can provide the opportunity to receive tomorrow’s treatments today, so please ask your provider about participation.

Lahey is a member site for clinical trials in conjunction with NRG Oncology, a national nonprofit organization that conducts cancer research and a major collaborative group for gynecologic cancers. Being a member site gives our patients access to nationwide clinical trials in which they can participate right here, without the need for travel.

Leading-Edge Research

Lahey Health is conducting leading-edge research on tissue samples and looking for biomarkers using blood samples to help develop targeted therapies for our patients.

A deeper understanding of how cancer forms and grows has led to more targeted treatment options today than ever before – especially for people with rare or hard-to-treat cancers, or those whose cancer did not respond adequately to conventional treatments.

Participating in a Cancer Clinical Trial

When you participate in a cancer clinical trial, you can be assured that your safety is our primary concern. Our clinical staff has extensive experience in conducting clinical trials, and we are deeply committed to protecting the rights and welfare of our patients.

All research activity at Lahey Health is monitored by the hospital’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure the safety of study participants. The IRB is composed of Lahey Health colleagues and members of the general public from our community as well.

If you are interested in participating in a gynecologic cancer clinical trial, speak with your doctor or patient navigator.
