Making changes to lifestyle habits may help some people be more alert during the day. Here are some changes that may help:

Nighttime Sleep

Following a sleep routine and getting at least 8 hours of sleep each night can help some people. It may also make them feel more alert during the day.

Plan Naps

Daytime naps of 15 to 20 minutes can help a person stay more alert. It may also improve function.
