Evaluation of Treatment Strategies for Severe Calcific Coronary Arteries: Orbital Atherectomy Vs. Conventional Angioplasty Technique Prior to Implantation of Drug-Eluting Stents (Eclipse)

The objective of this study is to evaluate whether use of Orbital Atherectomy (OA) with the CSI (Cardiovascular Systems Inc.) device prior to implantation of drug eluting stents is superior to conventional balloon angioplasty for the pretreatment of severely calcified lesions.
