Treatment

Carlos David, MD, during neurosurgeryThe state-of-the-art biplane angiography suite provides outstanding imaging capabilities, including three-dimensional angiographic reconstruction. We are able to treat our patients with cutting-edge microsurgical techniques, endovascular techniques and stereotactic radiosurgery.

Depending on the size and configuration of the aneurysm or AVM, surgery may be the preferred method of treatment. Endovascular treatment, which involves coiling aneurysms or gluing AVMs, is a newer minimally invasive technique that may provide a method for preventing hemorrhage. Radiosurgery may also be used for some smaller AVM lesions.
