Geriatrics & Transitional Care

The Geriatrics and Transitional Care program provides comprehensive care for individuals over the age of 65. We facilitate transitions across all levels of care, including hospital, skilled nursing (SNF), acute rehabilitation, long-term acute and home/community care, all with a focus on quality, safety and wellness.

Hospital Medicine

A hospitalist is a physician, board certified in internal medicine, who takes the place of your primary care physician while you are in the hospital and is responsible for all aspects of your care if you are admitted. Hospitalists do not have a clinic practice and are easily available when you and your family have questions or concerns.

Pathology & Laboratory Medicine

The Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine provides full anatomic and clinical laboratory services and is accredited by the College of American Pathologists. Our board-certified pathologists provide diagnostic and consultative services for the clinical divisions. Laboratory Medicine serves the diverse and complex needs of physicians and patients from various Lahey Health locations as well as the needs of patients from other regional healthcare providers and community physicians.

Primary Care

General Internal Medicine offers a large comprehensive care team for your primary health care needs in our new dedicated patient center.  For your convenience, we have blood draw, radiology and a pharmacy on site, and offer evening and weekend appointments.  We also work to keep you healthy with screenings and patient educators. Lahey also provides primary care services in Lexington, Peabody and community locations throughout northeastern Massachusetts.
