Hospital Medicine

A hospitalist is a physician, board certified in internal medicine, who takes the place of your primary care physician while you are in the hospital and is responsible for all aspects of your care if you are admitted. Hospitalists do not have a clinic practice and are easily available when you and your family have questions or concerns.

Pathology & Laboratory Medicine

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine provides full anatomic and clinical laboratory services and is accredited by the College of American Pathologists. Our board-certified pathologists provide diagnostic and consultative services for the clinical divisions. Laboratory Medicine serves the diverse and complex needs of physicians and patients from various Lahey Health locations as well as the needs of patients from other regional healthcare providers and community physicians.
