Lahey Health Opens Health Center at MarketStreet Lynnfield

Lynnfield, MA (October 2, 2018) – On September 27th, Senator Brendan Crighton and Representative Bradley Jones joined Lahey Health interim CEO Richard Nesto, MD; chair of the Lahey Health Board of Trustees Ann-Ellen Hornidge, JD; and community members for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Lahey Health Hub at MarketStreet in Lynnfield. The new state-of-the- art facility opened on October 1st and offers residents of Lynnfield and the surrounding communities with convenient access to primary care, urgent care and specialty care services.

“Lahey Health is committed to bringing world-class care directly to the communities we serve,” said Richard Nesto, MD, interim CEO of Lahey Health. “This new facility will expand access to high quality health care. And, we are particularly excited to be in a new and convenient location that offers many services to the patients and families who choose to receive their care from our providers.”

The two-story, 26,000 square foot health care center offers primary care for adults and children, and specialty care services including cardiology, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, dermatology and cosmetics. Laboratory and X-ray capabilities will also be available on-site. Lahey Health Hub will be open 7 days a week and will offer extended hours for appointments. Several primary care physicians and advanced practitioners have joined Lahey Health Hub and are welcoming new patients.

“With the construction of this new state-of-the-art health care facility, members of our community will have expanded and convenient access to the health care services they deserve,” said Senator Brendan Crighton.

Lahey Health Hub also offers walk-in urgent care services. Physicians and medical staff trained in emergency or urgent care medicine provide quick medical attention for a wide range of illnesses or injuries such as fevers, sore throat and ear aches, sprains and minor broken bones, respiratory infections, skin rashes, cuts and more.

“Lahey Health has been a fixture in the Lynnfield community for more than a decade,” said Representative Bradley Jones. “Beyond providing high quality care to local residents, Lahey is a true community partner, and this new facility represents a continued commitment to serving the health care needs of Lynnfield and surrounding communities.”
