About LHMC & the Pharmacy Department

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center entranceLahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) is a teaching hospital based on a group practice model. Located approximately 17 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts, LHMC includes a 335-bed tertiary care center and provides care to over 3,000 outpatients per day. It is a teaching facility of Tufts University School of Medicine and has affiliations with MCPHS University and Northeastern University School of Pharmacy.

In addition, LHMC has almost 100 community-based physicians in a wide range of specialties. The multidisciplinary approach allows patients to have access to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists and other supporting staff from virtually every medical specialty, all working together to provide superior patient outcomes. Within this framework, the Pharmacy Department is committed to providing the highest quality of care and customer service to our patients, along with support and education for all members of our health care team.

Fostering a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion is essential to the mission of Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH). Promoting quality care for all allows us to best serve the more than 1 million people who rely on us for care, and to advance health equity in our regions. We are committed to achieving representation within our workforce that mirrors the communities we serve, eliminating differences in health outcomes, and investing in our communities. Our vision is to transform care delivery by dismantling barriers to equitable health outcomes and become the health system to attract, retain and develop diverse talent.
