Expert Care, Expert Staff

Through the Sophia Gordon Cancer Center at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, we offer a complete range of medical and surgical specialty services. The multidisciplinary staff includes board-certified, fellowship-trained cancer specialists including hematologic and medical oncologists, surgical oncologists and radiation oncologists.

Our patients benefit from a team approach to provide the most ideal care plan possible, developed on an individual basis and in close collaboration with medical and radiation oncologists. Our integrated electronic health record allows multiple specialized providers access to patient records, increasing our collaborative efficiency and level of care.

Strong Focus on Research and Clinical Trials

We are deeply committed to research and clinical trials to better diagnose, treat and prevent urologic cancers, and are pleased to be able to offer our patients the opportunity to participate in certain trials if they so desire. In addition, our Urologic Oncology Research Laboratory studies biologic markers for cancer so we can offer the very latest therapies to our patients.

Urologic Cancer Support Group

We offer a support group to patients who have had surgery for urologic cancer. This group has traditionally focused on patients coping with prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, although resources are available for patients with bladder cancer undergoing radical bladder surgery and for other cancer types as well.
