Individual, family, or group therapy can help a child or adult with obesity learn more about their eating habits. Stress, emotions, and unhealthy thought patterns often play a role.
Weight Loss Programs
There are many types of weight loss programs that can help a person make lifestyle changes. Some examples are:
- Weight loss groups that meet in person
- One-on-one weight loss counseling
- Online programs with chat rooms and message boards
